The Saber Tactical Chassis for the FX King sets the King up as a competition-style precision rifle, with a rigid chassis, an adjustable buttstock and a front rail that accepts both Arca and Picatinny gear. It comes in Grey (ST0079) or Bronze (ST0082) and weighs 6 lbs.

It is meant for King owners who shoot matches or long sessions from a bag or bipod and want their fit set up properly. Owners of FX Panthera and FX Dynamic variants can use it as well with our King Chassis Conversion Kit ST0093.

How it's set up

The cheek rest, the butt pad and the length of pull all adjust without tools, so you can get your eye behind the scope and your shoulder square to the rifle and then leave it set. The only time you'll reach for a castle nut wrench is when you first mount the buttstock assembly to the back of the action, since that rear attachment tube shares the same diameter as an AR buffer tube and is secured with a castle nut. There's a QD sling swivel on the buttstock.

The front rail combines Arca and Picatinny, and the sides have M-LOK slots where you can add rail weights to move the balance forward. We cut a jimping pattern under the rail so it grips a shooting bag instead of sliding on it. Out of the box the chassis is sized for FX 480cc or 580cc bottles, and if you run a 700cc bottle, the Extension Rail ST0080 (Grey) / ST0081 (Bronze) extends the Arca rail almost the full length of the chassis. Saber Tactical has worked with airgunners and precision shooters throughout the sport, and our products have been tested and used in real-world hunting and competition precision shooting.

Installing and setting it up

Check bottle clearance while you install the chassis. A few customers in the EU have reported the bottle rubbing against the back of the front rail, which we have not been able to reproduce on any rifle in our shop, and we believe it comes from differences in the neck length or thickness of some carbon fiber bottles. If yours rubs, stop the installation and send us the rail, and we will mill out a section so the bottle isn't damaged. If your chassis already has bare aluminum in that spot, it has already been modified.

On a Panthera or Dynamic, a few rifles show slight safety binding with the ST0093 kit, which is fixed by running a 7 mm reamer through the chassis safety hole.

Common questions

Will this chassis fit my FX Panthera or Dynamic?

Yes, it fits with the King Chassis Conversion Kit ST0093, which includes the FX rear plug, a two-piece King-style safety, mounting screws, and the safety spring with its detent cover and screw.

Can I run a 700cc bottle?

Yes, add the Extension Rail ST0080 (Grey) or ST0081 (Bronze), which gives you more Arca rail and additional M-LOK slots.

My bottle is rubbing on the front rail, so what should I do?

Stop the installation and send us the rail, and we will mill a relief so the bottle can't be damaged.
