About This Data & How Rankings Are Calculated
This tracker is an informal but carefully compiled accounting of Pro Class 100-yard benchrest finals results across the modern era of competitive airgun. It provides the airgun community with a data-driven view of who has performed at the highest level across the sport’s most significant events.
Scope & Event Selection
These rankings cover every confirmed Major Pro Class 100-yard benchrest final held across five competitions since 2019: the Extreme Benchrest (EBR), Pyramyd Air Cup (PAC), Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge (RMAC), International Precision Airgun Competition (IPAC), and the Northeast Airgun Classic (NAC). These events were selected because each draws significant national and international representation and consistently fields a statistically meaningful number of registered shooters.
Data Source & Accuracy
All scores were harvested directly from official event organizers’ published results and converted into the standardized dataset that powers this application. Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy including name canonicalization across events where shooter names were recorded inconsistently. If you believe you have found an error please visit our contact page and submit a ticket.
🏆 Trophy & Medal Icons
The 🏆 trophy icon appears next to any competitor who has won an outright Grand Championship (1st place overall) in at least one tracked event. The 🥇🥈🥉 medal counts in the Podiums column reflect all career 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes across every event in the database.
How Each Ranking Filter Is Calculated
Most Podiums
Sorted by total career podium finishes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) across all tracked events since 2019. Only competitors who have earned at least one podium finish are shown. Tiebreaker is gold medals, then silver.
Lifetime Finals AVG
The mean score across every single-card finals appearance since 2019 (max 250 per card). The Pyramyd Air Cup 2025 used a two-card format — both Card 1 and Card 2 are counted as independent data points. This is the only filter that requires a minimum of 4 confirmed finals appearances to qualify — the 20% Finals Qualification Rule applied to 20 total tracked events (20 × 0.20 = 4.0). This protects the statistical integrity of the average by ensuring it reflects a genuine pattern of performance rather than a single exceptional result. Most professional sports ranking systems require 50%+ event participation for a national ranking; our 20% threshold is intentionally accessible given the sport’s still-developing competition calendar and the travel demands on competitors. Tiebreaker is highest single finals score.
Highest Finals Score
The single highest score a competitor has posted in any one finals card across all tracked events. All 210+ competitors are shown regardless of career appearances. Tiebreaker is Lifetime Finals AVG.
Total Lifetime 10Xs
The cumulative X-ring count across every career finals appearance since 2019. X marks are awarded for shots that land in the center of the 10-ring. All 210+ competitors are shown. Tiebreaker is total finals appearances.
Finals Appearances
Total confirmed Pro Class finals appearances across all tracked events since 2019. All 210+ competitors are shown. Tiebreaker is Lifetime Finals AVG.
The 5-Year Rolling Window
This dataset currently tracks events from 2019 through 2026. As each new year is added, the oldest year will eventually roll off the dataset. This rolling window ensures rankings reflect current competitive performance and accounts for the rapid pace of innovation in precision airgun technology that has driven average scores significantly higher over the past five years — a trend that continues to climb. Holding competitors to scores from an earlier technology era would unfairly penalize those competing at today’s higher performance baseline.
